This guide outlines how to apply for Professional client status with Axi.
Axi App:
Open your dashboard and tap the “Professional Client” tile, or
Use the menu to navigate to the “Become a Professional” tab.
Client Portal:
To begin your application for reclassification as a Professional client, please click the “Trade as a Professional” banner on your dashboard.
Clients are required to meet at least 2 of the 3 professional criteria:
Sufficient trading experience and activity
A financial instrument portfolio exceeding the required threshold
Relevant professional experience in the financial sector
Select a minimum of 2 criteria to continue the application.
Note: By selecting this option, you confirm that you meet these criteria. Verification will take place at a later step.
The system will then provide you with information on what Professional client status means, including:
Reduced regulatory protections compared to Retail clients
Access to higher leverage levels
Responsibilities associated with Professional client status
Confirm your understanding by clicking on “Continue” and ticking both confirmation boxes:
You acknowledge the risks and reduced protections
You confirm that the information you provide is accurate
Provide evidence for at least 2 of your selected eligibility criteria.
Examples of supporting documents include:
Trading history reports
Portfolio statements
Employment confirmation in financial services
Upload documents directly in the application flow.
Note: Only factual documentation is required for verification.
After uploading your documents, click “Submit” to complete your application.
Once submitted:
You will be returned to your dashboard.
Your application status will be displayed as “Under Review”.
Our team will review your documents and notify you once the review is complete.
Once approved, your account will be automatically updated to Professional client status.
Once your application is approved, your accounts will be affected as follows:
Existing Axi platform accounts:
No changes will be made to your account. Your existing account will remain the same and will be upgraded to Professional client status.
Existing MT4/MT5 accounts:
You will be provided with a new MT4/MT5 trading account under Professional client status. Your existing MT4/MT5 accounts will need to be closed in order to open a new Professional account.
New MT4/MT5 accounts:
Any additional MT4/MT5 accounts you create will automatically be set up under Professional client status.
